Why App Promo Videos Use Stylized UIs Instead of Screenshots — Six Reasons

Why and when is it a good idea to use a mockup of an interface in a video instead of showing “live” screenshots from the app?

What do we mean by “stylized” images of app interfaces?

1. You need to show several UIs in a single video

2. Users can completely customize app appearance and layout

3. You are marketing a service rather than a product

4. The video release needs to be timed to coincide with an app release

5. The product features several localized versions

6. The App will be updated/changed

What about a hybrid?
